Nancy’s Just the Right Gifts Roundup

by Nancy on January 11, 2012

When Joan and I meet to talk about our holiday gift posts each October the task seems overwhelming. We spend hours browsing the internet to find those few items we deem just the right things. Like Joan many of the gifts at my house came straight off the pages of our blog and all of them make great gift choices all year long. Here are some of the highlights at my house:

It is no secret to say that Joan is an early adaptor. Three gifts under our tree are ones Joan has had for quite awhile including a Nespresso coffee maker, the Soda Stream (a blog post about how much we like the Soda Stream coming soon) and a Cuisinart Griddler ($69.99 at Costco) for my college-aged daughter, Megan. They are all getting heavy daily use.

Jon and Megan (my twins) are enjoying their Pivot Power adaptable power strips which allow you to plug in all those funky shaped power adaptors onto one power strip. This will be a “go-to” college graduation gift idea for me.

A small gift I am in love with is the Guard Your ID Stamp from the Container Store. (Actually I put this into Alan’s stocking knowing full well I’d be the one making most use of it. :-D) This handy stamp turned a huge stack of papers I had bound for a boring date with the shredder into two sheets of paper.

I gave several friends gifts from one of my favorite skin care lines, Paula’s Choice, including the RESIST Anti-Aging Hand Care Creme, one of the first hand cremes I’ve seen with sunscreen.

So there you have it, some of the just the right gifts are my house. If you found anything off our lists that you liked (or didn’t like) TELL us about in the comment section! We’d love to know.

I ordered a Guard Your ID Stamp, since I didn’t get to keep it in the Christmas lotto. Thanks for the suggestion!

John got me a Bringrr for my car. I really like it. It’s plugged into a power outlet that’s inside my center console so you can’t even see it. But it reminds me if I have or don’t have my cell phone with me with I start the car. I like the reminder, and it has also gotten me into the habit of mentally double checking if my phone is with me before I even start the car.
