Just the Right Thing for Dry Hair

I finally found a conditioner that truly helps my dry, long-colored hair look and feel better. It’s Neutrogena’s Triple Moisture Silk Touch Leave-In Cream (how’s that for a mouthful?) I learned about it listening to Paula Begoun’s Online Radio Show which I listened to on iTunes while I was painting my kitchen. How is that for multi-tasking?

On the show they said it was a great product for helping smooth dry, frizzy and over-colored hair – and it is. Since I’ve been at the covering my gray thing for over 10 years now, my hair has sadly turned into a crispy critter. For awhile I tried using a deep conditioner once a month but the main result was my hair felt heavy and lank. Then after my next shampoo it didn’t look any better. My Triple Moisture is a leave-in product that contains silicone. The silicone smooths down my hair – no more frizzies – and it makes my hair feel soft and silky. This is definitely a product for people with medium length hair, you certainly would not want to have it close to your scalp.

I had to go on a hunt to find it. It’s part of Neutrogena’s Triple Moisture line that includes shampoo and other conditioners. The containers are all the same color and it’s easy to confuse the products so be sure to check. I couldn’t find it at my local Target or grocery store but found it at Walgreens. One other thing. On the radio show they mentioned occasionally using a clarifying shampoo (they like Suave Clarifying Shampoo and you certainly can’t argue with the price of that) to remove the build up that comes from conditioning products. I love it when something works and it’s inexpensive, too!
